A note from Steve and Ellen Seskin:
Hey everyone! We really love reading your posts on this page, but lately my schedule hasn't allowed me to respond to all the messages here, even though I DO read them all. :) Your questions and comments are important to me and I want to make sure that you don't feel forgotten.

From now on, Ellen will be helping me keep up with these posts. She'll answer whatever you want to know, and if there's something she can't answer, she'll find out from me. If you want a personal reply, please leave your email address. Otherwise, replies will appear on this page.

I truly appreciate all the support, either communicated to me or not, that I have gotten from you through all these years. Without you, my music would not be the same!

Todd, it's always great to hear from someone who's seen Steve's career evolve through the years. He's been working with schools for a number of years, and is really enjoying it. It's amazing how well he reaches the kids.

Wow, Bill, street corners in the '80's - boy, am I glad those days are over! It's great that you got to watch Steve at the Freight on the live stream - he may be doing some similar things in the future. In the meantime, keep an eye on his website - you never know, he might be closer to where you live at some point.

Sure cherish the opportunity to listen to your work in person. You probably know it, but thought I say, your songs are right up there with Steve Goodman & JT! Keep it up:)

Hi Steve,
I first saw you on a corner in SF back in the early 80's and had lost touch. My ex wife just contacted me today to tell me about the live streaming at Freight & Salvage. Good to hear you again, I look forward to hearing what you have created since I lost touch. Just left CA after 3 decades, needed a change, but good to hear some familiar music. I remember meeting Ellen, the adoption of your son and the many stories back then, keep up the good work!
Peace my friend!

Steve, I first saw you at Gilroy Garlic festival and we kept coming back to see you again. I've collected all your songs and love your creativity, and honesty in song. I just learned of your work with schools which I think is great. All the best, -Todd

Hi Roy! Wow, This Good Tonight is actually more than 30 years old! Unfortunately, it was only released as an actual record (remember those?) and we haven't had it transferred to tape or cd disc. So sorry about that! Take a listen to some of Steve's more recent songs on the website - you might find a few that you like just as much. Let me know if you do!

Hi there. I've had a song going through my head lately from about 30 years ago. It was called "This Good Tonight" I think...and was the title track on an album I bought from the artist at a club called 'the Garret' in San Jose Ca. I think. Is Steve the artist and is that album still available? I gave mine to my then girlfriend and haven't seen it since. It was truely beautiful music.

A black caftan, huh? That must have been before my time! He hasn't really slowed down much since then. That first album was Steve Seskin and Friends Greatest Hits - too bad you don't still have it, by now it's probably a classic!

Glad you liked our set at Folks Fest - we sure had a lot of fun performing, especially with two such talented people on stage with us! At this point, Wildest Dreams is not on any CD, but keep checking the website - it may show up as a free download, and Steve has been thinking about recording a new CD. If he does, you can be sure Wildest Dreams will be on it!

I first saw Steve live at The Other Cafe, corner of Carl and Cole in San Francisco, he wore a black caftan, and he had a great set of songs, fantastic vocals, and stage presence. I long ago lost his very first vinyl LP that I bought when I lived there. Glad to see that you are still making great music after all these years. Thanks.

Really enjoyed your set yesterday at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest--loved the songs, the energy, and especially having two Seskins on the stage (okay, Art and the cello player were a great treat also!). Is your song "Wildest Dreams" on any of your available CDs?

Please let your son know that Steve isn't always so sad. Let him know that he gets sad when he thinks about how mean some people are to others, but that he feels really happy when he hears about good things, too.

At four, he might be a little young, but check out the songs that Steve has written with kids in their schools - just click on the link, "School Songs." The lyrics for most of them are online, and they can be downloaded for free.

Thanks so much for writing!

I started listening to Steve when I was 14. Tonight my oldest child, who is just shy of 4, brought "Don't Laugh At Me" home and we read it, then we went online and found a video of Steve singing at Freight and Salvage. while listening, he asked me why Steve was so sad. we had a talk about being kind to people who are different. Now he wants me to learn the song so I can sing it for him and his little brothers.

thank you Steve
