This month's free download is a song written by Steve and Christine Kane called "I'll Be Your Angel." Click here to download Christine Kane's recording of the song or listen to previous releases.
Steve recently returned from his annual pilgrimage to Indiana where he wrote songs and performed for kids at over 20 schools. You can see videos of Steve working with the kids on their new songs, "Why Me?" and "Be Yourself," here.
The effects of Steve's work don't end with the kids he works with in the US, though. The message of "Don't Laugh at Me" is now working its magic on Serbian audiences. It's been translated into Serbian and is being used to help call attention to people with disabilities. Check out this beautiful rendition of the song here: Ne Rugaj Se - Delta Fondacija or on our video page here.
Earlier this month, Steve was up to his usual tricks -- and what a treat for the 27 area fifth- and sixth-graders nominated by their schools to attend his songwriting workshop in Charlotte. Steve and the students wrote their song, "Never Ending," in just a few hours and performed it in a live concert later that day. You can read more about the day in the Charlotte Observer article here.
