A couple of days ago playing basketball with my friends I missed a shot
Someone yelled you’re lame, why do you play this game
I felt like a volcano about to erupt
When one of my friends said don’t stoop to their level
Just go home and punch a pillow
Eat some rocky road ice cream with those little marshmallows

Three hours later I asked can I have it back
And she had the nerve to say no
I was agitated aggravated angry and annoyed
I wanted to smack her and smash all her toys

One day I was walking on the grass field
On the playground at my school
Enjoying the breeze on a nice sunny day
When I saw something that wasn’t cool
Someone pushed my friend off the swing
They were lying there crying in pain
I said are you ok
And they said this happens to me everyday

At my old school there was a girl
Who wasn’t who she appeared to be
She used to say I’ll be your friend until the end
But she seemed a little two-faced to me
One day I caught her stealing stuff from someone else’s desk
A pencil, an eraser and a book
I should have turned her in but I was too afraid
So I just let her off the hook
Turned out that wasn’t all she took

I saw three punks making fun of his culture
I can’t repeat the words they said

Every day in our classroom

There was this boy in my class
Who always looked angry, frustrated, or sad
One day I walked up and said

Next day he was hangin' out with some new kids
Playin' basketball - something he never did
He had a grin on his face and a twinkle in his eye
When we went back to class he said, "I'm givin' it a try"

ONe time I lost my favorite teddy bear
It was like it had vanished into thin air
I found the bear under a thousand other toys
Things that could be loved by other girls and boys
So my mom and I went down to the public park in tow
We donated those toys; made some smiles out of frowns
